In reply to Shmeel McNulty. I enjoy Robinson Crusoe, but it just didn't make my list. For me, the stranded survivor itch gets scratched better by The 7th Continent. But Crusoe is for sure a great thematic solo game.

Well there were 3 solo games in your list, the rest were multiplayer with solo rules (Anachrony for instance is a briliant multiplyer games, but the solo game is still inferior even with the upgraded chronobot.)
For thematic true SOLO games you missed Under Falling Skies, Warp’s Edge, Ambush!, Mosby’s Raiders and D-Day at Omaha Beach.
Very disappointing list.

I haven’t played any of the Pax games, although they’re on my to-play list. I only just recently tried Bios: Origins multiplayer. I’ll have to check some of these out solo. Thanks for reading!

I know they’re not mainstream, but its hard to beat the Pax games when it comes to theme: Pax Renaissance, Pax Pamir, Pax Porfiriana. The Bios series by Phil Eklund also fit the bill.
